Mumbai crush Kolkata to set up final date with Pune

Karn Bumrah keep Knight Riders to 107 all out and Krunal steers chase with unbeaten 45

So that's all from here. See you on Sunday for the final. It is Mumbai Indians vs Rising Pune Supergiant at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Till then, goodbye!
Karn Sharma (MoM): I have been well and I am very happy for that. I try to take wickets, try to bowl slow. It was an important game for the team. The attempt was to take wickets and get them all out quickly. It is a good thing that I am taking wickets and helping my team win.
Rohit Sharma: I guess we have been really working hard and we don't want to shy away from going into the final the hard way. We really played some good cricket throughout the tournament and today was the perfect example. When you have performances like those, it gives you the confidence. The way bowlers came out and bowled, that was really pleasing, taking wickets at regular intervals and keeping the scoreboard in contorl. Karn Sharma really bowled well and set the game up for us. I think we are not dependent on one individual, every individual has come, put his hand up and won the games for us. Good to see that when every individual takes up the repsonsiblity. (On giving Bumrah the new ball): It is something we have been talking about, Bumrah is a wicket taking bowler, and we know Kolkata has a top heavy batting. When it doesn't work, it looks very bad. It is a teamwork, so it's not about me. I go and execute the plan and sometimes I go with my instincts as well. Sometimes it is very easy if you keep bowling the same bowler, so it is necesasry to keep changing and keep the batsmen guessing. Pune have bene playing some real good cricket. Not great history against them but we need to focus on what we need to do. It is very important for us to access the conditions quickly and move forwards. We have been doing well so far as a team, just one more hurdle.
Gautam Gambhir: We discussed after the last game. The wicket was a 140 one but once we were 5 wickets down for 30 odd, it is very difficult to come back. But 107 is not enough a total to get the opposition all out. Had it been 140, we would have been pretty much in the game. They are the quality side and when you lose early wickets, it is very difficult to recover. We couldn't put pressure on the Mumbai bowlers as we kept losing wickets at regular interval. Pretty proud of everyone because we put everything we could but Mumbai were a far better side. If you look back, we had the opportunity to finish in the top two but if you miss that it's gonna come back and bite you. We had the opportunity twice but we messed that up. But pretty proud of the boys. They have been very professional. Wish all the best to Mumbai and Pune for the finals.
Player of the match - Karn Sharma
An easy victory there for Mumbai. Although Kolkata struck with some early wickets and at one stage Mumbai were 34 for 3. But Rohit (26 off 24) and Krunal batted sensibly. Rohit got out for but Pandya (45 off 30) ensured he stays till the end and sees him team through.
