Australia’s win in the second T20I in Guwahati was marred by an ugly event, wherein a rock was thrown at the team bus. Indian cricketers came out in firmly condemned the vile act.

Even the minister of Assam was appalled by the event and promised to punish the guilty.

David Warner, the stand-in skipper, was more focussed on the cricket itself. He sure is pumped about the opportunity to play the T20 series decider in Hyderabad, his IPL home city.

Moving on, there was plenty of cheer in the Indian circles as Amitabh Bachchan, an all-time Bollywood legend, and Hardik Pandya celebrated their birthdays.

Sanjay Bangar, India’s batting coach, also turned a year older.

And now, the birthday wish you were waiting for… Presenting the Viru special.

The Sri Lankans had their own reasons to be cheerful.

Excellent win team srilanka. Proud of all. #2-0

The mood was a little grim for those who were looking ahead to the T20 Global League:

Kevin Pietersen was particularly livid.

Others were distressed too.

The storm in Durban didn’t do much to lift spirits in South Africa either.

Durban's storm yesterday…! #BeSafe #Durban #SouthAfrica #Storm #HailStorm

Emphasis on fitness in cricket has surged, as Suresh Raina and Umar Akmal will have you know.
