Toss: Steven Smith won the toss and Australia chose to bat first in the third and final One-Day International against New Zealand, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday (December 9).

Team news:
Australia: Unchanged from the team that beat New Zealand by 116 runs in the second ODI to seal the series.

New Zealand: Henry Nicholls comes in for James Neesham, who is nursing an injury. Lockie Ferguson replaces fellow pacer Matt Henry.

Series: Australia have already won the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy after taking a 2-0 lead in this three-match series.

Conditions: It’s expected to be a surface that is friendly for batsmen. The weather is clear and cool.
