PROFILE

Capable of reaching speeds of up to 150km/h, Adam Milne's short career as a young tearaway quick has been inhibited by injury. Called-up out of the blue in December 2010 as a teenager into the New Zealand Twenty20 side, after less than ten domestic matches in the format for Central Districts, his pace proved a liability on small grounds against aggressive Pakistani batsmen. His lithe frame subsequently struggled to bear the brunt of his forceful action and his workload has had to be managed as a result. Consequently, he remains short on match experience in all forms, but this did not deter New Zealand from another surprising selection move as Milne was included in the squad for the 2012 World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka.
